Gary Pease has 20 years of experience in civil engineering, principally in site and utility design and permitting. A principal at Nitsch Engineering, Gary is responsible for overseeing the entire civil engineering department and serves on the firm’s leadership team responsible for key operational issues.

Gary specializes in providing design, construction administration, and environmental permitting for large commercial and institutional projects. His experience has encompassed open space areas, commercial developments, private colleges/universities, public schools, and health centers. Through this experience, Gary has developed excellent relationships with a wide range of public agencies and regulators, including the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, Massachusetts Highway Department, and Massachusetts Port Authority, as well as with many architects, landscape architects, and contractors. As a LEED Accredited Professional, he has also shown an in-depth understanding of green building practices and principles, which he has used on a wide range of projects.

Gary is very active in Nitsch Engineering’s business development activities and active in a number of professional organizations. He currently serves on the Executive Committee and is Vice President of the Program Committee for the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). He also served on the NAIOP Bus Tour Steering Committee from 2003 to 2009. In honor of his contributions to the organization, Gary received the 2005 NAIOP President’s Award. Gary is also an active participant in the BSA/SCUP Roundtable series, the recipient of the 2001 Young Engineer of the Year award from the Massachusetts Society of Professional Engineers, and the Vice President of the Natick Soccer Club Board of Directors. He has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a master's degree in civil engineering from Northeastern University.
