Transportation Engineering
Senior Civil/Transportation Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Civil/Transportation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate for this position will perform, oversee, and manage transportation studies and design of roadways, streets, intersections and ancillary facilities. Experience in performing and overseeing analysis and design, preparing calculations, developing details, preparing of specifications and estimates as well as directing the preparation of bid documents is required. Should also have construction administration services experience that includes interpreting design intent, evaluating construction for compliance with contract documents, and the directing of testing and engineering support personnel. Will be responsible for developing and overseeing all aspects of highway/roadway engineering for local and state government clients. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Qualifications: B.S. Civil Engineering with at least 8 years of related project experience. Active Massachusetts PE is required. Proficiency with AutoCAD and familiarity with all phases of roadway design and plan preparation are required.
Transportation/Traffic Engineer
Nitsch Engineering is seeking a Transportation/Traffic Engineer professional who has a minimum of 4 years of hands on practical traffic engineering experience. The ability to perform traffic operational analysis using traffic engineering software applications including Synchro, SimTraffic, traffic data collection, safety analysis, Warrant analysis using MUTCD, signalized Intersection design, traffic signal coordination, and arterial analysis is required; must be proficient in AutoCAD. The successful candidate must also prepare traffic study reports (corridors, intersections, development impact studies, signal justification reports, etc).
Civil Engineering
Project Engineer
Nitsch Engineering provides civil/site/transportation engineering, land surveying, transportation planning, design, and GIS services to public and private clients. Nitsch Engineering is one of New England's leading civil engineering and land surveying firms. Our firm is located in Boston near South Station.
Requirements: You will be responsible for the preparation of utilities, site layout, grading, and roadway design. A Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent degree), a minimum of 5-7 years experience, and registration as a PE in one or more states is a must. Must be proficient in computer design and CAD operations. Effective communication skills and presentation skills are essential. Experience with Low Impact Development design a plus as is experience making presentations to municipal officials. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
