Lisa A. Brothers, PE, Recipient of Lester Gaynor Award

– Lisa A. Brothers, PE, Vice President and COO of Nitsch Engineering in Boston, was presented with this year's prestigious Lester Gaynor Award from the Boston Society of Civil Engineers.

The Lester Gaynor Award is given to an individual who has made great contributions to the community as a city or town official.

Since 1996, Lisa has served on the Town of Wilmington's Conservation

Commission. In this role, she meets twice a month with the other six members and attends several site visits throughout the year. As a veteran to the commission and an engineer by nature, Lisa is able to bring her engineering talents to the group.

According to Mike Ciara, Town Manager for Wilmington, "Lisa has a strong presence and level of expertise that is so useful to the conservation commission. She brings the technical expertise that few conservation commissions have and typically need to rely on outside services for help."

Lisa comments, "It's gratifying to know that I have contributed to the town and helped to design better projects that the community can take advantage of. Wilmington is fortunate to have a team of dedicated commissioners along with an outstanding assistant planning and conservation director who really care about the town's natural resources. I am delighted to be a part of that team."

As co-owner of Nitsch Engineering, and a graduate from the University of Lowell, Lisa brings 17 years of experience in the design, construction, and management of roadway, site development, and infrastructure-related projects to the firm.
